What is a sliding fee scale?
I am a fully-licensed Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who sees clients on a sliding fee scale.
A sliding fee scale offers smaller fees for clients who make less income. My going rate is $100 per session. If you would like a lower rate, please request using the sliding fee scale.
It is unusual for a fully-licensed LPC to see clients at rates as low as $50. Irwin does so to maintain his independence as an owner-practitioner.
Here are some examples of how it works:
A person living alone with total income of up to $33,000 pays only $60 per session.
A couple with total income of $60,000 pays $70 per session.
A client living in a three-person household with a total household income of $80,000 pays $80 per session.
The fees on the sliding scale runs from $50 to $100, depending on income and household size.
You may email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask me how much your fee would be, according to the sliding scale.
